We got snow here in Georgia. Yes real snow. And to all you west coasters in Utah and Colorado and Idaho....it snowed an inch and it stuck to the ground. which is nothing for you guys but HUGE for us. Just 30 min north you would have thought you were in Utah. They had tons of snow. The funniest part was seeing all these geaorians that have NEVER seen snow. they were going wild!!! Remember I live just 40 min north of Florida. So deep south georgia got snow. and even Tallahassee Fl got snow....but not like us.

I can't believe my last post was christmas time. I have so much to post....well not really. I signed Thayne up for school. In Georgia they start school @ the age of 4. They go all day to school as pre-k. It's awsome. At first I didn't want to start him that young...but he already goes twice a week to day care. So now he goes all week for free. (well, not until the beginning of Sept when school starts) besides I seriously can not keep up with his little busy body. Also we gave up nap time.....(sigh) so now I make him watch a movie in his room during nap time so I still get my break.

He turned 4 on Valentines day. My little heart breaker is growing up. I can almost deal with it except as he grows I see my baby girl grow too and realty keeps setting in that they grow up so fast.

I am trying build a studio. everything was going fine until I tried to get the loan. The company we got the loan through to buy the house ownes all the land. So since we want to build on the land we can't get a loan because the banks will not own that little building. So they won't loan us money and the moragage company won't loan us money because we don't have equity yet. Can we say ROCK and A HARD place. So something will work out for us....it will just take time. (I hate waiting)

So that's it. I hope it won't be two months until my next post.

Christmas in the KEYS!!!!

Scott and I decided to visit our friends in the Keys. What better time than at Christmas time. A gift to ourselves. We had the kids Christmas On the 19 and set out on the 22nd for our trip. We don't get to take family trips during summer because of scott's work. So when winter comes family vacation begins!!We accidentally came across the Florida Natural Orange juice company. So we did the tourist thing and went to the LAME visitor center. I say lame because they just showed videos of how things were done. Who wants to watch a video? It did smell like warm orange cider outside the juice building.
This is our first day in the Keys. we stayed on Big pine Island. This place in the pictures is a house that belongs to the sister of who we stayed with. Beautiful land. The kids are feeding the fish. Scott unfortunatle was not with us because after driving the whole trip his back gave out on him this morning. He was flat on his back for two days. we didn't get to do a whole lot those two days.

Thayne loved fising off the balcony of the house we stayed in. There is no beach at this ouse but a canal leading out to the ocean. All he is doing is casting. There is no hook just a big rubber weight in the shape of a fish. In the palm trees there are coconuts. So cool. other trees had Bannans.

The second day we took the kids to the beach. Scott is still on his back. Thayne is playing with Grandma Cheri's grandson Jayce. THey were wild together but had so much fun. One of the pictures is a hand holding a jelly fish. I didn't know there were "friendly" jelly fish.

Thayne got a Dragon from Santa. He LOVED his gift. The dragon had to go with him everywhere. even the bathroom. Kaydee is dancing to Mo-Tab. ANd then got tangled up in a neclace.

Christmas. Scott finally was able to come and join us. This is the third day.

We took a Scott to the beach on christmas. The night before a storm gad come thru and caused many DEADLY jelly fish to take root at the beaches edge. We were warned about them so we avoided steping on them, but one got Thayne in the water. His hand got stung. When we told him he had to pee on it he did not like the idea. So after about 15 min he was back to playing in the sand....would not go back in the water that day. The day before there was only the one jelly fish that we saw and it was touchable. Funny how the next day the shore was covered in deadly highly toxic jelly fish.

Christmas night we tried to get out to watch the sunset on the boat....but the rain had chased us back to shore. Scott is now standing and doing so much better.

The fourth day we finally got to go play because Scott was moble. So our friends took us out on the boat to go snokling. We bought a underwater camera....but in anticipation of snokeling we left it on the boat. I got sea sick and jumped in the water as fast as possible...unable to grab the camera. and scott was so excited to finally go snokeling he forgot to grab it before he jumped in. Anyways, we loved the expeirience but cut it short because seasickness is overwhelming!! the pic on the left is Thayne knocked out from being seasick too. He is under the towels sound asleep. I rode back on the boats floor to scared to move.

That day we drove to Key West. Caught the sunset just in time. Bought t-shirts just to say we were in Key west. It was overcast so the sunset was not that great. the next day we left there was a beautiful clear sky for a beautiful sunset. oh well.

At church we met a fellow pilot...Scott wanted to see the plane he Charters. Thayne got to sit in the Pilot seat. That was cool.

On the way home we went to the everglades and did an airboat tour. Now we can say we saw the everglades. The place we did the tour had peacocks all over and Thayne and Kaydee liked chasing them.

After the tour there was an aliigator show. This guy was very funny and crazy! Every 15 to 20 min he does this show. The kids loved it. The picture with Thayne, there is an alligator right up against the fence. Kaydee tried to poke it with her little fingers. being so small she easily could get it through the double fence. I stoped her just in time.

we paid $5 for Thayne to hold an Alligator. worh every penny!!! kaydee was not scared of it but was not about to hold it.

We had a wonderful time with our friends. They took care of us and treated our kids like their own grandkids. We loved the Keys and hope to go again. Next time I will take dramamine and scott will not drive the whole time so his back will so better.

The kids were fantastic in the car. I couldn't ask for better kids...but...vaction with out them would be nice.

SCOTT SHOOTS BAMBI!!!!

He shot a Doe Moday and then on Tues got this 6 point buck. Our freezer is full and we are good for a year now. This is his first deer that he shot. Thayne thought it was so cool. He went with dad to the processing place to watch them cut the deer. he came home and told me all about it. I will save you the details.

We spent Thanksgiving with Scott's cousin David and wife Katie. They live in Tennesse. We had so much fun. We hope to visit again in Jan so we can see more of the sites. This trip was cut short due to photoshoots. The Sat. following Thanksgiving I had 4 shoots. I guess I need to plan for next year that Thankgiving week is crazy for photographers.

Thanksgiving!!! David invited classmate from college who stayed through the holidays. There was sooooo much food!! everyone wnet home with a plate of food. Good Job Katie.

The first weekend of Dec some of our friends from east GA. came to visit. Edward and Jennifer. We enjoy haveing them come because our kids and their kids are pretty close in the same age. So they wear out Thayne. I love the pic with them hanging on the railing.

Oh the weather outside is....

I have not had time to update. I have been so busy with the studio...it is crazy! I finally am able to come up for air. Until after Thanksgiving , Than it's insane busy again. Scott's season is done for now. So I'm happy to have him home reguarly. There are a lot of pictures to add so I did it as a scapbook page. I wish the blog would make the pictures bigger. I have seen other blogs with larger pictures so I now there is a way. Anyways, we are going to go visit family in Tennessee for Thanksgiving. Yea I don't have to cook!!!!
The picture below of Kaydee's cute little butt is so darn adorable I had to post it. It was early or mid Nov when they went swimming. Scott will swim all year if he could. He is trying to convince Kaydee to get in the somwhat cold water. YOu will notice that I am not swimming.

Halloween. Kaydee is a Fairy. Thayne a Dinosaur (what else would he be) I'm kermit and Scott wore a Jimmy hat he got from Scottland.

Putting a roof on the playhouse. Thayne loves to help Daddy. The pic with a bandana around his head is just that. He has an ear ache and I put a "BOOBOO BEAR" on it. it helpd the pain until we got the Doctors.

Mom got bored and sprayed his hair blue. He wanted it. When he washed it out he started crying as the blue washed out on to the floor of the tub. He was crying because he was freaked out!!!

Scott like to take the kids around on the bike. Thayne loves it and Kaydee was unsure at first. But you can see her chasing Daddy because she wanted back on.

The Dentist.....

Thayne's first visit to the dentist. He did so good and was so brave. He did everything the dentist asked and never flinched or got scared. Such a brave lttle boy. He liked watching the sucker thing drink up all the water.
NO CAVITIES!!!! Thayne told me the dentist had funny glasses.

COOL!!

Ice cream for a reward. When we letf the waiting room was full and Thayne told everyone the Dentist is fun!
