A water filled weekend

We went to the Beach Sat. The day started off with some friends coming over to go swimming. And then Scott got home about noon and he didn't have a P.M. load so we had the rest of the day to be together. Our friends had left and I convinced Scott instead of doing house work lets go play at the beach. It was not hard to convince him to go play.
We went to Mexico Beach. I love the beaches in the Gulf. Nothing compares to them. I grew up on California beaches and I don't think I can ever go back to those cold waters and dirty sand. The gulf has the whitest sand. It's so beautiful.

Kaydee had fun. She was O.K. with the water as long as she had a shell in her hand to distract her. Kaydee loves water but as for all kids the beach takes some getting use to. This was the funniest thing. She REFUSED to touch the sand with her feet. We would put her feet down in the sand and she would instantly pull her legs up as high as possible. And she would never leave the blanket. She would go to the edge and touch the sand slightly with her fingers nad then retreat to the saftey of the blanket. With thayne he loved the Beach from day one and the sand. he didn't care.

This is me. behind the camera
Thayne loved this. Scott would dig such a deep hole and Thayne loved working his way out.

For dinner Scott cooked up some fresh sweet corn in the sea water. I remember my Dad talking about how they use to do that all the time. After trying it I understatd why, it was really good. Of course we can't do open flames so we made do with our emergency kit burner.

It kept Kaydee quiet.

This picture is so darn cute it had to be in here. And I had to show my Mom the cute outfit.

I was bored and wrote on their feet. They wiggled so much it was fun and Dad loved seeing it.

Only in the south do you see a wagon train coming down the road for a joy ride. No parades just a fun day out they said. This is right infront of our house.

Scott flies this plane this year and Thayne hasn't gotten to be in it. He was excited to finally beable to sit in it with Dad.
To end our weekend on Sunday a friend invited us to come play in the creek. Well he has a bubbling spring to swim in. He had a rope swing and just a fun refreshing way to finish up our weekend. so the pool, the beach and a rope swing in the creek. A wet weekend. I forgot my camera so there are no pic. on the rope swing.

Just a crazy life

The Pageant went really good, they liked me and asked me to do all of them. Which is about 4 a year. this will help get my foot in the door with all the Moms. Yea!!!! I also did a huge dance and they asked me to do thier Christmas dance. So yipee.
Life is busy. Scott is flying alot and my photography is picking up.
This picture is our friends (edward and Jennifer's) kids. They came to visit for the weekend. We all had tons of fun, but I think Thayne had the most fun. He had friends over playing in the pool for two days. He loved it. I offered to take pictures for her in exchange for her to help with the pageant. She was much needed and I use the kids pictures for advertisng in the newspaper. It works out.

Thayne waited in this box until I came around the corner. He threw toys at me to scare me. It was so funny.

Kaydee is so proud of herself for learning how to pull up.

Thayne, Josh, and Zach....Taking a snack break before going back in the pool.

Everyone needs a pool. It wears out Thayne and he sleeps so good. I love it!!!!

This is the finished mud room. well almost finished. I need to put in the family pictures....which won't happen until Kaydee's 1st birthday.

we are still here

almost a month since my last post. We have been so busy with moving and trying to settle in. I must addmit that it is tons of fun decorating. those that know me would know that decorating is such a girl thing that I would stray far from it. Gosh darn this married life. It really girlfies me. Just to prove my point I actually own 4 pink tops that I wear often and like it. Crazy! anyways, Thayne and Kaydee have adjusted very well with the house. We have alot more room and they have thier own rooms. This makes Mom happy!!!! Scott is loving taking care of 6 acres. It's like he Feels all grown up. O.k. well we both feel grown up. So to sum it up we are really loving our home.

This is our mud room / entrance to the house. I found the crates at an estate sale. they are old fruit crates, and the window panes at the same estate sale. I plan to put us holding the letters to "tennant" and have various size pictures spelling it out in the top window pane/ shutter thing. The side ones will have clay pots cut in half with flowers in them hot glued in the window opening. There is a window pane thing on both sides. They will also contain pictures on just the kids. The baskets we got at target to hold our stuff. Thayne's is the red one he picked it and kaydee is the khaki one. As this space comes together I love it more!

Our entertainment center. it's huge. 10 feet huge! I found it on Craigs list at a steal of a price. They were remodeling and needed to get rid of it. It is custom made and just beautiful! so much storage.

The photography business is doing awesome. I usually average two shoots a week. this Friday i am helping a friend shoot a wedding, and then on sat evening I will be shooting a huge dance. Next week I have a beauty pageant. Keep your fingers crossed on that one. If I do really well than they will let me do them all. I'm so excited for this opportunity.

scott has been flying regularly everyday. good thing cause we really need the money for house payments. He is so much happier when he is working...as is all men.

Kaydee is crawling...well she does more of an army crawl. so dang cute. And Thayne is a true brother by stepping and rolling all over her. He is in time out A LOT!!! a true big brother.

This is her newest trick. Getting on all fours.

The previous owners had this leopard here and when we came to look at the house Thayne loved it. So the realitor asked them if they would give it to Thayne. He goes everywhere in the house with it. Always hitting Kaydee with the tail.

We finally did it!!!

WE are the proud owners of a house. We are so excited that we can say it's our house.....yea...it's OUR HOUSE!!!!! but the sad part is it's alot more than rent. I don't remeber much about the closing. Just a bunch of signatures...ALOT!!!! and then tada...it's your house. Crazy how it works.
We move Sat. That's best for getting all the church members to come and help. So it's all done. i guess that's it and we are in a new debt. And we did this why? oh I remeber cause now we can say it's ours. It's an expensive word.
Pictures of the house are in an earlier post. Just scroll down to see it.

More Pictures....my poor children!

Yes! my poor kids. Most people do once or twice a year pictures of their kids....I tried for that goal but it's to hard when you have such CUTE kids! So one day between the horrible rain storms there was a break. Kaydee had such a cute outfit on I couldn't pass up the opp. and Thayne dressed himself so cute (mom did not have a hand in it) Pictures just had to happen. I had to bribe Thayne with candy to sit in the wagon. He is getting the hang of making mom give him candy. Extra candy to get him to smile. He is to smart, but I got great pictures.

So my problem with all these cute pictures is that I can't display them all. Help me choose three. Although I might just have to put them all up. kaydee's room will have so many pictures of her.

family updates

So Alot has happened in the last little while, but since we are so focused on the house and waiting for the loan I have forgotten about updating on the family. so he we go..... Kaydee's first hair style. So cute!!!!
She is almost crawling. She is at the stage where she rocks back and forth then lays flat.

Loves her swing. She is so cute!!!!

We had SO much rain! two days straight of Heavy...heavy down pour. Tornado's did touch but not near our house. They did affect some of the members homes but every one is o.k. You can see our yard is a river, the rivers filled up fast and there is a lot of flooding going on... we are on high ground so we're good. We let Thayne play in it cause it was fun.

Finally the sun came out so I took him to the ditch to "swim" This ditch never fills up. But it quickly filled up with two days of intense rain. It was a scary storm, I won't deny that.

Thayne loves to ride his bike so we take him to Scott's airstrip to ride. Our house only has dirt and grass and he gets stuck. so here he can ride with ease. (a week before the rains)

Earlier we sent out an e-mail about being accepted in an art show. This is my picture "Flint river sunset." We didn't win anything, but were still excited to be accepted in the show.

This is my other picture. "It's a long way to the top" I like this picture a lot.

This is Scott's picture "Twilight." Yes, he really took the picture, but I had to set up the camera and help him with the shot. He saw it and knew what he wanted.

we took Thayne to his first fair. Well, it was a parking lot (really safe) fair. He Loved it, I don't know any child who would hate it. I think we had the most fun. It is so much fun to take him to do things for the first time.

This picture cracks me up. Scott barely fits. It's Thayne's first ride.

This is My milk man. Scott loves acting, so he participates in the local theatre. It's called Swamp Gravy. They preform local stories about local people. They take the historical stories that they gathered from talking to the locals and put them altogether in a play. It is always so good. Look up the web site. www.swampgravy.com
Scott is always wanting the family to participate....I am not an actor. So I don't, and I haven't let Thayne participate because performances go until 10:00p.m. But next year I offered to do the pictures for the theatre and during performances I was going to Take pictures for the tourist. You know the whole souvenir thing. Stand in front of a backdrop that says "swamp gravy" maybe have a cast member stand in the picture. and charge them $7.50. I think I will do pretty good. so now the whole family will be involved.
Believe it or not but tour buses bring people in every performance. They come from all over.
So that's what's goning on!
